Corne van Biljon (South Africa)

Hendri decided at one stage to cut off all the couch potatoes and side liners on his social network. He felt it was a one sided relationship where he share and they just absorb and didn’t do anything in return. I then send him these wise words of Mother Teresa to show him how and why we need him to keep on inspiring us with his experiences and life:

People are often unreasonable, illogical and self-centered;

Forgive them anyway.

If you are kind, people may accuse you of selfish, ulterior motives;

Be kind anyway.

If you are successful, you will win some false friends and some true enemies;

Succeed anyway.

If you are honest and frank, people may cheat you;

Be honest and frank anyway.

What you spend year building, someone could destroy overnight;

Build anyway.

If you find serenity and happiness, they may be jealous;

Be happy anyway.

The good you do today, people will often forget tomorrow;

Do good anyway.

Give the world the best you have, and it may never be enough;

Give the world your best anyway.

You see in the final analysis, it is between you and your God;

It was never between you and them anyway.

To this Hendri replied: ” Thanks for the fine words, it’s good to hear. It it’s always a fine balance between what we keep and what we share. I seem to always get it wrong. Too much or too little in any direction. I have to agree it is between us and God that is why I felt like culling all the dead wood, but your words have been taken to heart!”
